DCYC works with city and state government to help youth who are considered “hardest to serve” with opportunities to learn tech education, professional development while acquiring personal development skills for free.
Professional Development Program Outline
This program offers a premium Workforce Readiness and Professional Development program for 22-24 year old adults. The One-week, employment readiness bootcamp to empower DC young adults to facilitate change in their communities and enable new business formation. It embodies our mission to provide the skills, tools and structures to elevate clients to their next level of growth.
Our program supports up to 75 young adults into a cohort structured model. These cohorts utilize paired-learning while being exposed to entrepreneurial education concurrently with workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupational clusters in project management, community management and digital marketing. The Cohort will intersect in areas such as professional development, financial literacy, and preparation for securing employment opportunities.
To qualify for this program you must have approval from the Department of Employment Services Summer Youth Employment Program.
